Biography

I graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Family and Human Development and received my teaching degree from Brigham Young University.  I did not set out to be a teacher, but it has been the job I was meant to do. I love working with children and seeing their successes as they grow, learn, stretch, and improve.  Not all jobs let you make the world a better place, but I believe being a teacher allows you that opportunity every day.

I have taught at the Ranches Academy since the second year it opened. I have taught, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, computers, and worked in the office. Currently, I am a reading specialist and I love being able to work closely with students who are developing strong reading skills. 

My husband and I moved to Eagle Mountain in the summer of 2002. We love it here and are thankful to have raised our kids here. We have 4 great kids, who each were fortunate to have gone to the Ranches Academy. I know part of their success has been the great start they got here.  As a family, we love to camp, garden, play vintage board games, and just be together.
