Ms. Geisler

First Grade

Hello! My name is Mandy Geisler. I am a first grade teacher at The Ranches Academy.

I was born in Provo, Utah. Growing up my family moved several times, and I actually attended six different elementary schools.  We eventually put down roots in Littleton, Colorado where I graduated from Chatfield Senior High School.

After graduation, I returned to Utah and attended Brigham Young University.  Three years later, I served an LDS mission in Moscow, Russia. When I got home from my mission, I went back to Brigham Young University to finish my degree. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education.  A year after graduating, I moved back to Colorado where I taught for seven years in the public schools teaching both 4th and 5th grades.  During that time, I attended Colorado University Denver and earned my Master of Arts Degree in Information and Learning Technologies.

In 2009, I moved to Mesa, Arizona where I taught at a charter school for ten years teaching in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classrooms. In 2016, we moved to Eagle Mountain to be closer to family.  I have a creative, spunky daughter and an active, sensitive son, and we are enjoying living here so much!  I love teaching 1st grade at Ranches Academy, and I feel absolutely blessed to spend my day with these little ones.

I have been teaching for over 20 years, and I look forward to coming to school each day! I enjoy being in a classroom of students and seeing them learn.  My favorite moments are those moments when everything seems to click. I believe that every student has potential, sometimes far above what I can imagine, so I never limit my students and always encourage them to be the best that they can. My students soon learn that I care about both their academic growth and their everyday lives.

Teaching allows me to be part of something much greater than myself. I know that I am part of a community, and I feel fortunate to be working at The Ranches Academy.  I believe a positive partnership between school, teacher, and parents is essential for each student’s success and look forward to working with you and your child as we move forward into this new year! Welcome to first grade!

Mrs. Geisler has a level 2 teaching license and has met the requirements of a highly qualified teacher.
