I grew up in Phenix City, Alabama and moved to Utah to attend Brigham Young University in 1989. After graduating with a BS in Therapeutic Recreation, I worked at Primary Children’s and treatment centers for children and youth. I became a stay at home mom when I had the first of my four children. When my oldest child started Kindergarten, I started looking for options and choices in public education. I learned about charter schools and began the process of writing the charter for The Ranches Academy. For many years I served on the Board of Trustees where I had the opportunity to learn about charter school governance and education. I began working at the school in 2012 and have learned more and more every year. I love The Ranches Academy and am so proud to be a part of this amazing school community.
