Physical Education
I grew up on the Columbia River Gorge in South Central Washington. In 1996 I graduated from Ricks College and married my wife Robyn. We then moved to Ruston Louisiana were I received my bachelors degree in Health and Physical Education. I continued my schooling at Louisiana Tech University and received my Masters Degree in Education Administration. I taught physical education at the University K through 8th Lab School for several years and also taught some classes at the University. I have been teaching at the Ranches Academy since 2010.
I have three children Taylor, Kendal and Ty. I enjoy camping, fishing, downhill snow skiing, hiking and all sports. When I have the opportunity I also enjoy traveling in the country and to other countries.
Many good teachers have impacted my life for the better. I hope to make that same impact on the students here at the Ranches Academy. There are few instances in life that give us the feeling of success that comes from winning a game, getting a hit or making a basket for the first time. In physical education your child will enjoy these feeling of success. I love the opportunity to teach elementary age students because of their excitement for learning and their enjoyment of being physically active.
