Biography

Hi! My name is Becky Anderson and I am so excited for my second year as a 6th grade teacher! I have been a part of The Ranches Academy family since 2007 when my two oldest daughters began attending as a kindergartener and first grader. All 7 of my children have been Redhawks! 

I grew up in southern California loving the Lakers, trips to Disneyland, the beach and all things warm and sunny. I attended BYU and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education after completing my student teaching experience in Colonia Dublan, Mexico. I love the natural beauty of Utah, but I’m still NOT a fan of the cold! I love hiking, running, eating fruit, laughing, being in nature, the color yellow, college sports, polka dots, reading, celebrating and spending time with my incredible family. 

Kids are my fave! I love watching them learn, grow, stumble, get back up, make connections and build community. Something I appreciate about The Ranches Academy is the focus on a growth mindset. I LOVE do-overs. Do-overs are opportunities to learn, discover, problem solve, be brave and help each other. I believe in creating safe spaces for kids (and adults) to make mistakes and be themselves. I feel this is essential for learning.
