Ms. Walker

Special Education Teacher

My name is Ms. Angela Walker. I had the privilege of teaching 2nd and 3rd grade at The Ranches Academy many years ago. Teaching is my passion. I am just a “big kid” at heart. I have an energetic, creative, and “hands on” teaching style. I believe that learning should be fun and engaging. I try to utilize all of the learning modalities in my classroom. I am also the Founder and Cubmaster of a Family Scouting Pack and Troop in our community. I seek opportunities to help youth achieve personal growth through goal setting and activities.

I am originally from Las Vegas, NV but I moved here to Utah to attend college at BYU. I graduated from BYU in 2006. In 2011, I earned my Master’s Degree in Elementary Teaching. I am currently working on my second Master’s Degree in Special Education. I have been lucky in my career to work with special needs children, who were mainstream, within my regular classroom setting. Whether they were children with Down Syndrome, autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, attention struggles, or emotional disorders. I have developed a specialized skill set to help these students thrive in an individual or classroom setting.
