Mrs. Huynh

Special Education Teacher

Helping students discover their academic potential by overcoming obstacles is what Mrs. Jane Huynh seeks to accomplish as a special education teacher at The Ranches Academy. Personal accountability and responsibility is something she works hard to instill in her students. Mrs. Huynh believes that children are responsible to put forth their very best effort to succeed while she helps to find strategies and ways her students learn best, so they may feel empowered in her classroom and in the general education setting. A quote in her classroom reads, ‘Education is not filling a bucket, but lighting a fire,’ as there will be obstacles to overcome and finding ways to help students succeed through motivation, willingness, and teacher support, students can thrive in the classroom.

Mrs Huynh received her undergraduate degree from Nazareth College of Rochester in 1989 in the area of Studio Art. Following her Bachelor of Arts from Nazareth College, She received her teaching certificate to teach children grades K-12 with a mild-moderate endorsement in Special Education from Brigham Young University in 1992 and has been employed at The Ranches Academy since 2009. Mrs. Jane Huynh has a wonderful son, Carl, and enjoys spending time with her family. In her spare time, she loves gardening, the study of healthful living, and playing the harp.
